Thank your for your continued membership in FLOR/KOR. As a member, you
will periodically receive news and announcements of interest to
persons wishing to promote business and friendship ties between
Florida and Korea. I also encourage you to visit us on the worldwide
web at www.florkor.org for useful information, updates and suggested
links.
In recent years, Korea has substantially reformed its economy and its
private and government sectors. The country has opened its doors to
trade and investment from abroad, and continues to be a leading
economy in Asia and in developing a knowledge-based economy that
offers some excellent IT sector opportunities for U.S. companies.
Korea now offers a wide range of opportunities for Florida businesses
looking for export or other business opportunities there or for
Florida organizations and companies seeking inbound investment and
import trade opportunities with the country.
Currently, Florida is home to nearly 30 Korean companies, an Honorary
Korean Consulate General, a Korea Trade Center (KOTRA) office and
other important Korea-related organizations. Some leading Florida
companies such as CITRIX Systems, Burger King, Tupperware and Outback
Steakhouse have successfully entered the Korean market.
I encourage you to join our mission to Seoul, Korea this coming
October 17-19 in conjunction with a joint conference program with KITA
and KUSEC there. Please contact FLORKOR’S executive director for
complete details and registration procedures.
We
sincerely value your membership, and welcome your feedback and
suggestions.
Cordially,
Kimi Springsteen
